Frodesley lies on a Roman Road just a few miles away from the remains of the Roman city of Viroconium. Meadowlands lies adjacent to the Church, Tithe Barn and Medieval Pound.

Just a mile and a half away is Acton Burnell where Parliament met in Edward I's time. Acton Burnell has a small, but picturesque Castle.

Just three miles away lie two outstanding Elizabethan manor houses, Pitchford Hall and Condover Hall.

The Medieval towns of Shrewsbury and Ludlow are within half an hour's drive, as is the museum complex of Ironbridge, the cradle of the Industrial Revolution. Also close by is Attingham, a superb Regency Mansion set in a deer park landscaped by Repton in 1797.

Hill walking begins up our 'No through road', Lodge Lane. Buzzards nest on Frodesley Hill, which is rich in birds and other wildlife. We are just two miles away from the very well known riding centre, Berriewood Riding School at Condover and the Condover Golf Club. Just fifteen minutes drive away is Acton Scott Farm Museum.

Meadowlands is an ideal location for discovering Shropshire and the Welsh Marches. On the edge of the South Shropshire Hills is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it lies in the heart of Cadfael country.

Three excellent Pub/Restaurants lie under 4 miles away. The Thatched Pound in Leebotwood, The Horseshoes at Dorrington and the Fox at Ryton.
